Yesterday I had my orientation to my teaching placement for this semester... in the small town of Hill Spring. I will be working with junior high students all the way from grade six to nine, and it looks as though it is going to be a lot of fun. I will be starting out primarily with Social Studies. Remarkably, my class also has a "history" option that I will have full creative liscence with, so I am looking forward to doing some fun things with that class.
My wife and I now reside in Canada's windy city. Wesla and I met while attending Alberta Bible College. We were married in 2001, the year after I graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree. For a brief time we served as a part of a church planting team in Saskatoon until I was called to be the pastor of St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples) in St. Thomas, Ontario. In September of 2004 we moved to back to Alberta where I re-entered the world of a full time student. I am currently pursuing a teaching degree at the University of Lethbridge. My aspiration is to acquire an second trade that will allow me to serve in the church in a "tent-making" capacity... perhaps we will even make another go at church planting.
