new addition to the family

Wesla and I have been talking about getting a pet for sometime, we finally decided upon getting some fish. The new place we moved into is already home to a small pooch, named Tara, so that ruled out getting a dog. Wesla's allergy to cats, in combination to my disdain for felines pretty much rules out the possibility that we will ever get a cat (at least one that will live in the house). Wesla cannot stand anything that "scurries", because they are too reminiscent of mice. So that leaves us with the possibility of getting some fish.

We set up or aquarium a week ago, and let it run for a week without any fish in order to filter out all the chlorine and such. On Saturday we added two small Zebra Danios, I only could pick out one in the picture. It was recommended that we only add a couple of small inexpensive fish to start with, because the fish tank needs to develop some more of the beneficial bacteria for an aquatic ecosystem before we add some more fish.
